downloading applications

hello! just got my treo 750. beeen trying to download some applications but i always get the message: not a valid pocket pc application.

help please...

welcome to ET what apps are you trying to download? they must be 240 x 240 square touch screen wm5 compatible apps. Are these apps cab files or exe files some files you need to download to the phone directly. Some you need to download to the desktop and unzip the exe file . In terms of the download to desktop I find that it helps to be at the programs screen of the treo because when the file is installing it will ask you to check the device to see if additional steps are needed and to do them. Usually the step is install to device or expansion card and if you are not at the programs screen you dont get to the message before it goes off screen and the program doesnt install either place. It sounds like you app is not compatible with the treo if your app is shown as a smartphone app it still must be touch screen compatible or it wont work.
