    Default Error with Keyboard

I'm having a really wierd error with my keyboard on my Palm.

When I press certain keys, two characters are typed at once. The keys seem to be paired, and one will always be typed first regardless of which key I press. For example, when I press either P or Full Stop then P is typed and then Full Stop is typed half a second later.

    The keys are:

    O & Backspace
    P & Full Stop
    Alt and 5-Way Centre
    Shift and 5-Way Right
"Special Character" (The key with the white sqare on the left of the keyboard) & 5-Way Left
    0 & 5-Way Up
    Space & 5-Way Down

The on-screen keyboard works fine, this is just a problem with the physical keys.

I can't find a single referance to this problem on FAQs or in the instructions, but if anybody know what it might be or knows of a way to reset the keys then please help, this is making my phone unusable!

maybe those keys are sruck together somehow or there's some dust or lint between the case and they keypad that cauing both keys to be pressed at the same time or close to it. Or you may need a new keypad. You might try removing the battery back and battery and opening up the case to check it out. Might be worth a shot!

Well I finally got the case off and gave everything a good clean, but no luck.

I'm fairly sure this is some software issue; it seems to be affected by battery charge.

When the battery is low, the keys will occasionally work perfect after taking the phone out of Standby (if it's been on standby for "a while"), but after a few hits the problem will start again.
