There is away around having to use a static IP address.
Its called Dynamic DNS. I do mine through
www.no-ip.com.

That explains a bit about what it is. Basically you will download a client on your server that reports your current IP to no-ip.com in this case. no-ip.com in return holds your dns records and updates them to reflect any change in your IP addy.
There are others and Im sure free ones, but from experience no-ip.com is very easy to use and effective.
