If you've downloaded one of the versions for the cable, then you already have the ROM for SD. Open up the zip and grab the file CHEEIMG_FW.nbh and rename it to CHEEIMG.nbh. Then put it on a FAT32 SD card and voila!

When I run the cingular version of the update I get:

"this update is intended to update palm treo 750 smartphones to the latest software. It is not intended to update the device language or other devices."

I am using a Cingular/ATT Treo 750 running the official ATT WM6 update.

Have any ideas what may be causing this?

Okay, I'm totally speculating here, so bear with me.

I know True released at least 2 different versions. One generic and one for Cingular (software version ends with CNG). It's unclear from the posts but there may be devices with versions ending in ATT for which another wizard was created? Again, I'm speculating. If so, I don't have that one to share and True is nowhere to be found to ask.

However, you should still be able to load via the SD card/bootloader method. The only thing that the SD method does not do is update the software version that is displayed in the about screen. (The wizard does that as a final step after the ROM load is complete.)

Look back a couple posts for instructions on setting up the SD method from the unbranded wizard you already have.
