Thanks to t_stallion for the information. However, that is not what I was trying to do. My buddy at work tried to sync to my phone with his and it would let him do nothing. We could pair but not share any info. Seems that it said it was not connected. Seems the only BT services that I have been able to find on any of the phones I tried to connect to was DUN.

Ah, sounds like your trying to do transfers between 2 phones via BT. The TREO handles that as if it were "beaming".
To accept files from him, you need to go into START > SETTINGS > CONNECTION > BEAM and set it to accept all incoming beams. That will also allow you to receive files (ringtones and such) via BT.
To send a file via BT to another phone, find the file in File Explorer and hold down the stylus on it (to get the right click menu) and select BEAM FILE. (You can also highlight it and hit MENU > BEAM FILE). Your Treo will search for both infrared and BT devices. Select it and send.
If you "pair" the phones, you really can't do squat. It's all done through beaming.
Enjoy!

Unlock software
Hi, new to the forum but extremely glad I found this place! Could I get the unlock rom/installer sent to jumperlee@gmail.com. BTW, I'm running Vista Ultimate, is there any issues?

Just sent you the links. I haven't seen many folks that have upgraded from a vista machine, but it should work.
Just bear in mind that Vista uses Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) instead of Activesync.

Voice Command 1.6 on Treo 750
Hey guys, Great forum...have seen lots of help here.
This may not be the right forum for this question, but after searching around it looks to be the most knowledgable.
I have an Att treo 750 running wm6. VC 1.6.17746 came with the WM6 from Trueluck's version. I am having the same issues getting annoucement to work over BT. I may have found a fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=333260.
This fix requires overwriting files in the windows directory. When trying to overwrite the files needed I get the error:
"Cannot copy VoiceCommand_PPC: Access is denied. Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not read only, and that you have permission to copy this file type".
I get this error for every file that needs to be replaced with the fix.
I have made sure VC is off when trying to modify these files.
I have tried a hard reset, tried renaming the file, tried using activesyc to replace the file, used Resco Explorer to try to rename, edit, delete, and move the file.
So far nothing has worked. Any ideas
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right forum, but you may want to post as a new thread if you want folks' attention. Otherwise, most will assume it's just another new post about Trueluck's rom and you may not get the help you need.
Typically system files provided from the ROM are read-only and can't be modified or changed. You may want to post in the xda thread you found and ask how they are overwriting.

Oh yeah, if you figure out how to overwrite, make backup copies first. That thread is for a Tytn II after all.

Almost had a FREAKING HEART ATTACK
Just tried to use the AT&T wizard w/ Vista. Everything downloaded great, had the Treo 750 connected & Windows Mobile Device Center running, extracted the zip file, went & clicked the 'index.hta' file...and that's when I almost passed out.
Install wizard came up, clicked on the button to start the update and then got a message "ERROR: The system can not find the resource specified". Quickly unplugged the phone & made multiple calls to ensure it was still working.
Any thoughts/ideas on what to do? I'm a bit nervous about using the bootloader method now. I'd really prefer to not brick my brand new phone.
Thanks for any help!

Was considering tequila, but worked through the problem...
:laugh3:
Okay, after having my blood pressure spike up to somewhere in the 160's, I'm now happy to report that this update ROCKS!
After the initial failure to install (and subsequent substernal, crushing chest pain), tried to do the bootloader method. No luck there either, initially.
Finally re-re-re-read the instructions & noticed that little part about ensuring the SD card is formated in FAT32. So....after re-formating the card, the install went beautifully.
Thanks again for the file, the display is just great, can't believe AT&T went & horked up a great update.
