Got the new unbranded ROM ready for miniSD

There is a thread here on ET about upgrading to wm6 there are psotings about both the ATT and the ROW unbranded rom. Or send fastlerner a PM he has been the one doing the most for folks with the wm6 upgrade. I know palm is pullimg the att upgrade off the web site after the 31st of this month I am ot sure about the row update.

Does anyone have a simple write up and the rom itself? I purchased an unlocked cingular 750 the last day the rom was available at palm

I have the rom but its unzipped and I am not sure how to shrink it its 63mB and it wont email or I would send it to you. There was an ftp download link somewhere in this siote I believe for an unofficial rom updater for the 750. Also you may be able to find an unofficial update and instructions for wm6 at xda developers.com Do it at your own risk not condoned or approved by this site or any moderators or members the ususal legalese. Theres also a guy here at ET site winmopro who has a 750 update to wm6.1 dont have to update to 6.0 first. Find him on the 700w w/x forum.

I am so late to the game that I am embarrassed to ask this. I just got a Cingular branded but unlocked 750 on ebay. It came with Windows mobile 5.0. I would like to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.0 or 6.1, but I got the Treo just after Palm stopped making the 6.0 upgrade available for unlocked users.

I use a Mac, but I have Parallels emulation software with Windows XP on it. I normally synch to the Mac using "Missing Sync for Window Mobile" by Mark Space. I also have a Vista machine that I could use for syncing, but never have bothered.

Is it still possible to get the upgrade file? If so, given all the permutations above, which method of upgrading would you advise? Thanks very much.

I just got an unlocked 750 off ebay and now I'm looking to find a copy of the unlocked version of the WM6 or 6.1 upgrade. Really would appreciate any leads or help.

Like I said I am not sure about getting you the rom its unzipped now and the file is 63 mg it wont go out over the email in such a size. You might check with xda developers.com they have some threads about roms for the 750 there. www.xda-developers.com
