THANKS!!! Wizard worked great!
FYI: for anyone who already got the link to the regular wizard but needs the ATT wizard, just change the filename in the link to wizard-CNG.zip

Sorry, the 'G' key is right next to the 'H' key, it's NBH
But don’t be taking the NBH file’s from the extract and using them as is. There are to NBH files one called CHxxx.NBH and one called CHxxx_FW.NBH. The NBH file ending in _FW.NBH is the ROM, the other is a bootloader update. That’s how I got my bootloader file to everyone, I renamed the CHEEIMG_FW.NBH file to CHEEIMG.NBH, placed it onto a freshly formatted miniSD and reset with the side button held down.

If I have been using sync for a while on my XP machine, no drivers are loaded when I attach my USB. 50% of the time active sync hooks up. If I put my Treo in bootloader mode (by the way how does one do that explicitly, is that the side button and reset pin thing?), does XP then recognize that a "new" device is there? Should I remove activesync from my machine for all this to work? And ultimately, the real process of uploading is kicked off by double clicking the INDEX.HTA file, yes?
Yes, but it originally came in an exe packaged file, and the file name of the exe was different. But all the files that get extracted are exactly what came from AT&T's exe file, with the exception of the mods I made to the wizard's config file to allow it to install on non-ROW Treo's.
Yes, it’s the side button and reset pin thing.
Do not remove activesync, that's what put the treo phone and bootloader drivers on your machine. You should however be using the latest version of activesync (4.5 or higher)
Yes, index.hta is the file you run to execute the wizard.

Sup guys,
Just wondering if there was a difinitive posting with clear instructions how to do the WM6 update to an ATT branded Treo 750? I spent quite a while sifting thru all the sites and forums, but no one posts clear and consise info.... don't want to end up paying ATT for a $300 boat anchor (a light boat anchor at best)...
Just looking for basic instructions from start to finish. Could someone cut and paste from what's already been posted?
Also, could Trueluck3 send me the files needed. I have a Treo 750, ATT branded and running Windows Vista and have Activesync 4.5....
Many, many thanks, plus it's the least you could do for sending the Giants to town and beating the Bears!!
my email is jairboy/comcast/net
or jairboy at comcast dot net
