Hard Reset Issue

First time poster so please be nice. I'm Treo challenged. My 750 started running very slow. Extremely slow. I removed all pictures, left over emails, etc.. and still slow. So I hard resetted. I synched and outlook did load, Now when I try to add gmail, the "next" button is dimmed. As if its telling me that I can only have the one email account. Any ideas? Thanks.

You may need to reinstall the gmail application. Your wm device needs to have the broswer cache cleared if you are getting on the web just like your desktop. Also you need to close program on the device unlike the desktop tapping the X in wm does NOT close the program so you may ghave had a bunch of programs open which were clogging your memory and making the device slow and maybe even unstable. tap and hold the ok buton until the open programs dialog box comes up and close those programs you dont want to stay open. There are third party programs that you can install which will change that x into a real propgram closer.

JFA is right on, as usual. Definitely clear your browser cache.

Internet Explorer>Menu>Tools>Options>Memory>Delete Files

If you don't every so often, your diminished free memory will bog your device down badly.

Thanks folks, but thats' not it. I have tons of memory left. And a 1 gig chip. I cleared the cache, and deleted all photos etc...

When I go to emal setup, new account, and "enter email address" the "next" button dims and I can go no further. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Blessings, Matt

did you migrate from another treo or have a previous devious that synched to outlook or say palm desktop. If so you need to follow the instructions for upgrading fro m another device in the user guide or you could end up with what they call "inconsistent results".

That's definitely a puzzler. That button should not be greyed out. You may want to try reinstalling the WM6 ROM.
