Help: unable to install programs onmy new 750

I am sorry to hear that I would suggest again that you try Laridian.com and do the trial offer If you like you buy then if not delete the software and try something else. You might also look at olive tree. I have seen good things about them here in ET one of the moderators uses their program. I think its at olivetree.com but I am not sure.

Petetherock, I got something that might help you with this whole situation. On my palm I have E-Sword. It's great and allows you to download over 28 different versions of the bible where NIV is one of them. Go to www.e-sword.net/ and then click on pocket PC E-Sword. I've been using it now for about 4 months and it's really great. Hope this can help you out.

More to the saga, I intermttently can access passages beyond verse 5, maybe this model isn't compatible with the treo 750.
I went to the e-sword website, thanks, realised what I was after was a study Bible, appreciate it though.

Maybe you downloaded the wrong version when I went to the filao site it showed the Zondervan study mibile was compatible with wm 5 devices check your download and see about that maybe it did not download all the way. I know when I download apps and the use AS to get them on the 750 I get the programs screen up and at the ready because it seems that once the sync starrts going the desktop says check with the device if anything else nneds to be done and if I am not at that screen on the device I cant see what else needs to be done and that step is usually to install on the device or expansion card and if you dont choose one or the other it does not install.

I did that, and got to the same screens, just that I dont have a SD card right now, maybe thats the issue - RAM?
Will be recieving my SD mini card soon, try again then

just choose to install to the device you can move to expansion card when you get it.

welcome to ET petethe rock. I am not familar with filiamobile.com I use Laridian pocketbible products and had no problems with the installation. Is the filiaomobile bible software on your desktop now. ? You have tried to install by running the program and it tells you its not from a trsuted site. It should ask you if you want to open or install and just tell it yes and then it should give you the option to install on an expansion card if you have one or in the main memory of the 750.

I currently use Laridian on my Treo 650 (Palm OS). I am planning to upgrade to the 750 soon. Do you know if the bible files from the 650 work on the 750?
I assume I will need to purchase the Laridian program for the 750, I am just wondering if I need to purchase new bibles too or if both version of the program use the same data files (i.e., the text).

the palm os program will not work on the 750 which is WM you have to download pocket bible for the pocket pc platform and then download your bible in that format. I had used pocket bible and my bible both in previous palm and pocket pcs you can get an niv study bible and I rweally like it

To add to that, Laridian is rather poor on my Treo 750.
I cannot open the full chapter in my bible software and despite numberous emails to Laridian or filiao, it's not resolved.

Man.. moving from the 650 to the 750 is going to be expensive..
I have used PalmOS since about 1997 and have so much software
(bibles, dictionaries, the Splash programs ... ) I hoped there would be something that is reusable..

I might be able to reuse my dictionary.. it is an e-book. Hopefully, the text will be recognized with a reader in the 750.
