Hers - 680; His - 750
My husband just bought a Treo 750. Having never had a Treo before, he didn't realize that it was a different operating system than my 680. Before we open everything, are we going to be able to share contacts, beam calendars, etc? Or do we need to make certain that we both have the same operating system? I'm pretty fond of my Palm OS.

Beaming protocols for palm and windows mobile are different. You won't be able to beam to each other with some kind of software to enable compatibility.
This link gives a quick rundown on some:

Alternately, you could point the Palm conduit to Outlook. Windows Mobile already synchs to Outlook so that would could conceivably keep the same contacts, calendar, etc... at no extra cost.

...you will be able to send contacts one at a time via bluetooth, but you will not be able to share calender events or notes. If you use Outlook, like FL stated, then you can copy the events and contacts over that way.

Oh, and I also just ordered an unlocked 680 to replace my 650, which has started to show too many signs of hard use. I initially ordered a 700p, but they sent a 700w instead, which I would not accept. So they discounted a 680p for me.
