Default Hide SIM contacts

Does anyone know how to Hide the SIM contacts? every time I go and search for a contact, I see two entries, one from the TREO and one from the SIM, this is really annoying....anyone?

I think its in the wm6 rom and you may be sol unless you hack it out of the rom. You might check on xda developers.com and see if they have a thread on that subject.

I had the same problem and actually just went through one by one and deleted the SIM contacts so I would only have one of each because I am OCD and can't stand looking at two of them. If I ever change phones, there is that option to save all contacts back to the SIM.

there is a reg hack for this...and its...

HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
new DWORD value named "ShowSim" and set it to 0

it will hide the sim contacts in the contacts, but for the smart dialer it will still appear...hope this helps...

Registry Hacking is a scary deal, can brick a phone if you are not really familiar with it. There are a few free registry editors out there, I use TRE. Here is a thread that goes into a bunch of detail on registry hacks for the 750, I recommend reading it before you try anything...

i find that most of their solutions are for the 700w, also not really sure which reg hack would work on the 750, i tried one, and it did not install it, i guess its not competible, if you know one that for sure works on the 750 it will be great////// also tried to find TRE, can not find it anywhere...

Thanks again....

Most of the hacks haven't changed. I made my scroll bars smaller and hid my sim contacts from that thread.

Here is the link to TRE:

Ok, thanks, done, it....it works great when you select CONTACT and then you do not see any of the SIM contact, just your phone, which is great....but for some reason, if I type a letter from the TODAY screen, it goes to contact and there you see everything again.....

Anything I missed....?

That's the smart dialer, unfortunately I can't find a fix for that. And I don't want to delete every contact on my sim one by one, would just take to long..
