How do I reassign Treo 750 Hard Buttons?

Hey! I am new to the Treo world and have a question about reassigning buttons. I know you can reassign button by going into Settings>Buttons....but I do not know how to reassign the two Hard/Soft buttons on the "Today Screen". They are the ones that say "E-mail" and "Menu". If someone could help me out on how to reassign these, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

I don't believe those are easily changed. Unlike the other hardware buttons, they are context sensitive soft-menu buttons that change based upon what's currently active.

Not that I'm aware of.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? With a bit more detail of the problem, perhaps we can suggest some alternatives for your issue.

Basically, I'm trying to change the Left Soft/Hard button from email to calender...Thanks!

Any particular reason you're set on modifying a context sensitive soft menu button?

If you use the calendar that much, why not permanently map it to one of your hardware buttons?

FYI: If you've already used up all the mappings, you can add a single press function for the side button, in addition to the press-and-hold function that's the default. Follow the "favorite software picks" link in my signature and grab a copy of cellneuron's side button hack.

The other alternative would be to extend your thumb about a half inch past the button you're trying to change and touch the calendar plugin on your today screen. :D
