Default How do I setup sync'ing with Outlook 2007

    Hi everyone,

I just bought a new laptop running Vista Home Premium 64 and Outlook 2007. I wanted to start using it to sync with my Treo 750. I used ActiveSync on my old XP machine to sync with Outlook 2003 and that worked well, however Vista dropped ActiveSync in favor of Windows Mobile Device Center. I have WMDC loaded and functioning on my Vista machine and it claims it's syncing with my 750 ... I don't know what it's syncing with but it's definitely not Outlook 2007. Does anyone know how to tell WMDC to sync with Outlook? (and btw, does anyone know what WMDC *IS* syncing with?)

    Thanks in advance

    Don

It sounds like your sync relationship just isn't fully defined. Try deleting the sync partnership. Then when you reconnect, make sure it's set up to sync all the items you want (email, contacts, calendar, notes, favorites, files).

I'm not real familiar with WMDC, but you may even be able to simply reconfigure the existing relationship and make sure all those items are checked.

    Default Hummmmmmm ...

All the items I want to sync in WMDC are checked. I'm a little leery of deleting relationships since I lost everything the last time I tried to re-establish contact with my phone on an XP system running ActiveSync. (The system had crashed and I was rebuilding it from scratch). I never went back and looked but there was probably a sync direction setting I didn't set - but I'm still spooked by the experience.
