Default I have to say, this phone is horrible...

I've had by Treo 750 for over a month now, I'm actually on my second one, had a replacement sent out last week. My original one had an issue where the screen would go on and off every few minutes, which I think was due to the Xpress mail, I decided not to use Xpress mail for my gmail and just used the Pop3 for Gmail and my work email.

So here I am with my fresh new Treo 750, thinking that my original was defective and that would explain my poor battery life. I was wrong. Just to clarify, I have blue tooth, infrared etc... off, just the "phone" and pop3 checking every 20 minutes. Backlit is set to 1 minute. I get roughly 50-100 emails a day and I don't talk that much on it. At 7:30am I woke and took the phone off the charger with a 100% charge. I've had a more busy than normal morning and have about 12 calls in my call log, but haven't talked longer than 30 minutes total. I've received 54 emails and 2 text messages and my battery, five hours later is at 54%. That is unacceptable.

Other issues with the phone is I have to reboot it about once a day. Anything from it locking up, to now where it stops making noise, no notifications, no ringing etc... only vibrating.

So, it's been cool, this board is nice and everyone has been helpful, but I'll be switching back to Black Berry, our CEO switched from the Treo to the Curve 8310 last week, I should have followed him then instead of just swapping Treo's.

the same thing happened with my battery life. for about a month and a half the battery depleted rapidly in a few hours to 30-40 percent which became very frustrating. then, the battery suddenly started to hold its charge and now last for a 16 hour day for me and still has a 75 percent charge and i use it a fair amount during the day. hope all goes well though for you and your decision.

My way of dealing with the battery life, as mentioned a few posts down, is to purchase a fatter extended life battery. On top of that, I charge my phone whenever I am at the computer by having the sink cable in. When I am in the car and it goes low I stick the charger into the cigarette lighter. I also keep my original one as a back up in the glove box. I am yet to use the back up one...works well now!

Wilmoth do you close your programs when not in nuse or just hit the X to minimize them. Having a lot of programs running in the background will eat up your battery. As far as the audio problems palm released an audio update patch several months ago to fix the issues you are talking about go to the palm.com site and navigate to the 750 support site and updates and the audio patch and download it should fix that issue. If the official wm6 update ever comes out that will take care of that and other issues as well.
