Important question regarding TREO 750

there is a sight called gsmliberty.com that does it for 39 dollars remote did... dont worrk about the unlock conflict the upgrade,, it just looks for the installed version.

I have the 700wx

1) It sucks batteries if you use it much like a laptop will. If you go into a fringe area where the signal is weak, it will suck amperage just like any cell phone will. Combine being in a weak signal and having several windows open and the battery empties at about the same speed as a laptop.

2) I have had my 700wx crash twice and reset it and be back up and running in three minutes or less. There seemed to be no reason for the crash, but my guess it is the same problem with PCs, RAM management.

3) The price is right!

4) Watch out for sync problems. I can't get mine to sync.

I've had treo 600 and 650 in the past and i loved it, then i went with 8525, pearl etc. Now i'm trying to get back into the treo world by getting the 750 model by cingular and planning to unlock it for my t-mobile.

the concern i have is when i read through cnet's review regarding the 750 i heard alot of horrible things about it, terrible battery life, crashes all the time.. however i'm getting a great deal for the 750 in excellent condition for only $250.

Is is worth it? please let me know what you think before I buy it.

the thing about the 700w and 700wx is that these are version of a phone designed to run the palm OS but the desided to stick windows mobile on them.

if you were a cingulat customer you could call and tell them your going overseas and need it unlocked to work over there. Since your not if you have a friend with cingularly att have yhem call to get it unlocked they will do it for free if you have been a customer for 90 days according to posts on another treo forum.
