Question Important question regarding TREO 750

guys i need all your input.

I've had treo 600 and 650 in the past and i loved it, then i went with 8525, pearl etc. Now i'm trying to get back into the treo world by getting the 750 model by cingular and planning to unlock it for my t-mobile.

the concern i have is when i read through cnet's review regarding the 750 i heard alot of horrible things about it, terrible battery life, crashes all the time.. however i'm getting a great deal for the 750 in excellent condition for only $250.

Is is worth it? please let me know what you think before I buy it.

    thanks.

i went from the 650, to the iphone, then to the 750. the 750 is the best phone ive had out of those three by far. if u liked the 650, get the 750. windows mobile on the 750 is a nice change from palm os on the 680.

well dude to be honest. i had a lot of phone myself. All companies have had good and bad batches. Basically i have no problems with my 750 and at the same time there are people who have. When a company makes a product they are sure to have a few bad ones. What i always do is read a lot of reviews and if there are good than bad i go with it. if there are more bad than good i stay away from it. if you look around the net you'll find more happy customers with 750's than bad and most of the time when people have hard times with something it is safe to say it is because about 75% of them mishandle there phones and expected them to be indestructable, or they talk on them all the time. As far as short battery life is concerened i pay no head because if you live out in the country like I do it hard for the phone to maintain signal so it turns the amplification in the radio up tu compensate for the weak signal and that will use battery a lot faster. wherei work is on a base an hour away. I am there sometimes 12 hpurs or more and the battery barely drops any on the indicater but if i am home all day it is vice versa. More to often than not people blame the equipement versus themselves cause the phone cant defend itself. Honestly, for what you get with the phone,,, it is worth 250 bux. hell thats what you pay at cingular for one with a 2 years contract for a brand new phone.

Good condition. Unlocked. $250. Where do I sign up? :laugh3: Seriously, that's a great deal on what I think is a great phone. I'm not sure if you'll be able to upgrade to WM6, considering you are planning to use T-Mobile. That might foul up the unlock.

Still, a great deal. Let us know how it turns out.

yup I just got it :laugh3:, he couldve fooled me if he said it was brand new, i didn't see a single finger print on that baby, I dont know what else comes with it but he threw in an extra battery, 2 ear piece, home charger, usb cable, micro sd card, car charger, manual and unopened disk. He said that its only one month old and he got a new 750 from his work. now the only thing i need to do is getting this unlocked, i got quoted for $25.00. Is there anyway i can unlock this myself?? any tips tricks?

btw thanks for all the help guys
