Question internet explorer

Hey,

Sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong forum!

I just got my treo 750, not from cingular, but I do have cingular service!
when i first got it,,, i was able to log on to the web, but after i called them (cingular) to find out about a media plan, and they found out i had a treo and not a Razr anymore!!! They tried hooking me with a data plan and the prices they gave.. me did not sound good to me!! So, I told them that i wanted to play per use!!! they took the IMEI number of my treo, and now I am not able to log on to the internet.. I have called them 5 time, and each time they make me go through the settings.. Try this try that!! but nothing seam to work!! I keep getting this INTERNET EXPLORER MSG.... THE PAGE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CANNOT BE FOUND DUE TO UNKNOWN ERRO 0X80088000

Please if anyone knows the setting or can help me with this problem!! i would appreciate it greatly!!!

have you tried going to the palm web site and going through the set up process shownb there for email set up etc and make sure your settimngs are correct?

<-making note to NEVER tell Cingular I have a treo till I can afford their unlimited plan. (they should already know this, I bought it from them) It sounds like some overprotective company tech put a data block on your phone to prevent data usage. I could be wrong though.

jman what isp do you use? I have a treo 650 with a 750 ion the way. I have sbc and I have a 10MB per month plan. I can get on line to direct check my sbc accounts without problems once the set up was done. It sounds like your settings may have changed somehow.

Thanks to everyone that reply to my post!!! I had to call cingular AGAIN, and acted like a total ahole with them just to get my point acrossed! I told them straight out to take the block off my treo, and that i wanted pay per (for internet)!!!! i was arguing with them for way over an hour!!! Then my tx wouldn't work they tried telling me that the tx plan i had would not work with my pda phone!! finally after a few cuz words and yelling they fixed it now the internet and tx!!! no plan but works!!!

I didn't change any of the settings!! like i said.. my big mistake was letting cingular know that i had a treo!! should have just kept my mouth shut!

Cingular really does need to simplify (and reduce) their data plans, they are too pricey, and too variable-laiden. It would be easier for them, and us both.

those assholes! I just bough a treo 750 today and I have been having the same problem. The guy seemed all put out when I said I wanted to stick with my 5mb a month plan instead of some expensive $40 one that I will never use. I will call monday and get it fixed.

Default Cingular Data Plans

I have a friend that works at Cingular, and heres what they told me to do.
DON'T order a PDA data plan. Go to Cingulars website. Go to services, look up their "MEDia Bundles". Pick one that works for you. CALL customer service and add it to your services. They don't check to see what kind of phone you have. These are excatly the same thing as their PDA data plans only cheaper.(Marketing) I have the MEDia Max 200 bundle. Unlimited data, video & 200 text for 19.99 a month. Unlimited PDA connect plan for the same price does not have video or text. make sure you order over the phone, not on the website.
