LCD Light is out

I upgraded to Treo 750 last August and it worked perfectly until today. I was changing the settings in backlight and power management which I have done before then the LCD light went out and it won't come back on.I did a soft reset but it didn't fix it. The firmware has been updated to 2.25. All functionalities - phone and PDA and Outlook stuff work except I can't see who is calling and can't read my emails because the list is out. Can anyone help me please. It is a fairly new device and I love it. Thanks.

It sounds like your screen went out either the cable to the screen pulled loose somehow or broke. You can open up the device and see its just pulled loose and reseat it. There are sevn screws you have to remove with a torx t6 driver try radio shack or your local hardware store. Theres a video on youtube on taking apart the 650 its the sme basic procedure. Look in the 650 forum here for a thread that will have the url or google for 650 disassembly video. If you need further help get back with us.

Hey jfa, thanks for the reply and advise, but you don't actually recommend me to tear my Palm 750 apart and void the warranty, right? I don't think that will be beneficial to me since this is a fairly new device. I can't even figure out how to fix this issue let alone dismantling the device and then putting it back together, are you kidding me?

Well I also posted this help question at Palm Forums and someone actually gave me the answer that fixed my problem and it was simply because I left a box unchecked. It's a good thing I didn't follow your advise but thanks for taking the time to reply.
