It's definitely growing on me. As I mentioned in a previous post, this is not my first WM device...I had a Compaq device (with a T-Mobile card), the Samsung i730 (Verizon), the original HTC PocketPC Phone edition (again, T-Mobile), and another I can't think of right now. The keyboard being of the slide-out variety is the only thing keeping me from giving this the big two-thumbs up....the stock in the 8525 went up a LOT today when I found the extended battery and desktop cradle with the spare battery charger was available...

I am leaving the i730 and I think going with the keyboardless version (found I use my onscren keyboard more than the slider) of the 8525. Since they are both PPC, I anticipate a smooth transition. Any warnings you can give me?

FYI, as the person that started the Jan. 9 date in the referenced thread I thought I would give you an update. I was in a different Cingular (company-owned) store today and asked the same question and they had gotten the same date. However, just like the rest of us, the salesperson said that those dates are not always hard and fast . . like we hadn't figured that one out.

well I have been reading in other forums about the next windows mobile crossbow system which promises office mobile editing office docs etc on the smartphone platform. And that's sounding mighty intriguing to me. That would make the blackjack better. That plus you can get a blackjack for about 40.00 after rebates on ebay cingular stores which is the same price for the 680. Hmm Hmm Hmm

    Default Still not worth it

Cost is not an issue if the phone does not deliver. 3 weeks on Blackjack going back to Cingular to return it this week going to wait for 750.

    Battery Life is too short
    No MS Office
    No IR
    Had to buy Voice Command
5 way button is not high enough (hit 2 buttons at once)
Charger port is a huge pain
    Little availability of accessories
    Little availability of software
most important fan website S_ _ ks

I have waited 10 months I will wait as long as it takes.
