    Default Looking for software to...

I'm looking for recommendations for software to do the following:

Store passwords (Keepass has a beta, has anyone tried it?)
    Add ring tones
Add a REAL alarm clock -- not that stupid notifier thing, which will politely beep once, then let you continue to over sleep.

The Palm OS had a great alarm clock... anyone know if there's one for WM6?

Now, when I say recommendations, that's what I mean. People who've used software that they like. I can read the software section of this site and see what's out there, but I don't know that it's any good. For instance, the one of the bigger folks Spb took 3 days to answer a simple question and that one reason is making me not want to use their stuff.

    Thanks!

passwords- no help there. I keep 'em floating around in that soup I call a brain and hope they don't get lost. ;)

add ringtones - no software required. Just drop your MP3s into the "My Ringtones" folder and you're done. In file explorer, you can even hold down the stylus on a sound file and the pop up menu will give you the option to "set as ringtone". that option will auto-copy to the my ringtones and set as the default tone.

Alarm clock - I use the standard built in. Most times it wakes me on the first go round. If I'm not mistaken, you can dismiss or snooze and I think if you take no action it will go again.

also, i dont have a "my ringtones" folder, if i want to add a ringtone i have to download the song, go to settings, then sounds & notifications, then manage tab, then "add new" under menu and find it. Then i have to go the the sounds tab and assign it.....

The built-in clock works well (as noted above) and I am also using Fizz Alarms - the timer/countdown functions in particular.

I am in the same situation with KadyBaby, I don't have a ringtones folder either. Although, I am guessing this folder should be in the "TreoMyDocuments" folder on my desktop in order to sync it. If it is not there, then how do you "drop it in".

WM 6 - Windows Mobile 6 - the operating system that comes out in the new devices. It is now up to 6.1 - flavors are with touch screen (professional) and non-touch screen.

As for folders - are you using Windows Explorer on the handheld or using the Active Sync to look around the device? The MyRingtones folder is a subfolder of the My Documents folder.

Going a bit further with placing applications/files onto the device. i quit syncing things a long, long time ago and just do it manually. That is, I open Active Stink, click on File Management and then browse, then select the device or the card. It really is easier, faster and error free. I have had occasions where Active Stink stunk.

    For alarm tones.

To add custom alarm sounds, convert your files to .wav and put a copy in your \Windows directory. Then they will be selectable in the drop down box.

Go low. 8 bit 8khz is not the best quality sound for music, but should be fine for an alarm tone.
