Default Love the 750

I was a very happy Treo 680 owner until I upgraded to an AT&T branded 750. I wasn't sure what to expect. I read editorial reviews from "experts" as well as from regular humans like us on this site. Well, I made the leap and was a bit bummed at first. The Windows OS took some getting used to and the Activesynch feature was a bit dodgy initially. I found a third-party plug-in that is, with a doubt, the best thing I have purchased -- SPB Pocket Plus. The "cool software" thread mentioned this. For those of you bashing WM 5.0 or the 750, give it a shot as it was well worth the move for me.

Uh, did you say WM5?

You'll find plenty of 750 fans here who would be perfectly willing to bash on WM5. I didn't truly get hooked on my 750 until they released WM6.

So what's keeping you from upgrading?

I followed the same path, I had a 680 but found that TomTom was really too much for it (especially when it tried to download traffic information. The 680 was also badly behaved when using the wired handsfee kit, the volume was all over the place. I eventually got hold of a cheap 750 (with WM6) and everything just worked perfectly, TomTom is smooth and doesn't crash and the handsfree kit works just as expected.

However the 750 developed a screen problem and has been sent back for repair or replacement, and the 680 is being used again in the meantime. I really miss the 750!

Bad sentence structure on my part. I did mean 6.0. I upgraded and it works great.
