    Default mini sd trouble

I've had my treo for 4 months or so and have continually had trouble with the memory card. At any given time it may or may not be accessible. Usually I can take it out and put it back in and the data returns to view on the phone, but today I have had no such luck. It seems as though everything has been erased. I put the sd in my photo printer and the files still exist. Has anyone else had this trouble? Any advice?

Unfortunately unless you have a good quality SD card you may run into problems especially when the screen goes off
When i first got the phone i put a cheap no name brand SD card in the phone and everytime the screen went off (Sleep Mode) it would loose the card. I did
a bit of research and found out that some cheap cards are not fast enough registering themselves to the phone when it wakes back up.
The only way to fix it is to buy a recommended fast SD Card. I use a Sandisk 2Gb Card that never drops out.

    Hope this helps...

I would follow raigs advice get a good quality card and stick with name brands. I got a 2gb for my 750 on line on ebay when I got my 750 (also off ebay) back in February. I paid less than 25.00 inluding shipping. I have had no problems with the card.

san disk is a good brand I have a san disk 2gb I need to get my sprite backups off the card and free up a lot of space. Going to get a card reader and try that the tero wont let me delete the files on the card reader for reasons I have not figured out.

Maybe you just got a bad one. As I said before a have a 2gb and have no problems. Maybe you could try starting a new thread and asking people what SD card they use and if they have any problems. Thats the only thing that i can think of. Normally its the cheap cards that don't register quick enough.

    Default Could this be similar?

I'm wondering if I'm having a similar problem....

Sometimes lately when I try to take a picture, I'll get a 'not enough memory' popup... even though I have a 1 gig sandisk card installed (it's not even half full.)

Does this sound like a memory card problem to you??

    Thanks.

    Default card reading problems

I have had problems with 2 SanDisk cards. One is a 1gig and the other a 2 gig. I went with the 1gig thinking that would help - and it did. It still does it but not as often. I just do a quick soft reset and back in business but this should not happen for sure! (I downloaded a simple free program that does a soft set at the push of a button). I have heard that Palm branded cards won't have the problem but I doubt that would cure the issue. I have also heard that you must format the card with FAT32 - but I have not tried that option. I have sprite backup and thinking about trying that option with my 2 gig card (assuming that formating it to FAT32 with a card reader will erase all the data on the card?).

Lastly, some think that WM6 will cure this issue? If and when WM6 upgrade comes about we will see.
