music for ringtones?

.i just bought my palm treo less than 48 hours ago and dont know much.is there a way to place outside music as a ringtone?

You can use songs for ringtones but you have to cut it down to a manageable length about 30 seconds at most. There should be a thread here at et about songs as ringtones for winmo devices with the procedure and programs to get it done. do a search.

nakko.com you can make your own ringtone of a mp3 file. Maybe usefull.

With MRing for WM you can select a different .mp3 file for every contact if you would like. You set up groups and priorities and assign them to contacts for specific music or just regular ring tones as well. I use it and love it.

Out of the box, just edit the contact in question and choose the ringtone you want for that contact. Ringtones should be stored in the Ringtones folder under your documents.
