My Treo glitches

My Treo 750 glitches.
I keep my phone locked to keep from unknowingly pressing buttons and to keep others from snooping.When I receive a call and press ANSWER it takes about 10 seconds before the phone answers when it's under a passcode lock
NOW it's not connecting to my email.I'll go to the inbox,press send/receive,the phone just keeps saying "connecting" or "receiving file"...then it times out.This had been happening for a week.What do I need to do?

Hard to say. Are you running WM5 or WM6? Did you load any new software recently? Make any changes to your network setup?

Is it running slow in general? If so, how much free memory do you show?

Low memory can cause all kinds of problems. If that's the case, go into IE and clear your browser cache to get the working memory back.

and make sure you close all programs ythat you are not using the X only minimizes programs unless you get third party software that turns the x into a true close and exit button.
