Need help with Treo 750 Send/End buttons

Hi,

I'm a former Verizon Palm 700w owner and I am now transitioning to the Cingular 750. For the most part these phones are exactly the same in terms of button options and features, but there does seem to be one or 2 problems that I am having with the button functions on the Send and End buttons. Here is my problem:

On the 700w the End button would turn off the phone if not in a call. On the 750 it closes the program, then you have to hit it again to turn the phone off.

On the 700w the Send button would show a menu of your most recent calls and you could scroll down to the number you wanted and then just hit the send button again to call it. The 750 does open the recent calls menu, but when you get to the number you want to call, re-hitting the Send button closes the menu without doing anything. You have to hit the select button to choose the number you want to call.

What I would like to know is if there is a way that I can change these functions on the 750 to match the much preferable 700w ones? There has got to be some way to change them. Thanks for any help you can give me.

pages 208 209 in the user guide deak with reassigning buttomns to programs In terms of changing function button you may be able to remap but if its an assignment built into the rom you can only change it bu changing the rom which is diificult to change.
