NO Windows Live in WM6 750 ATT - Treo Forums

This really blows. I can't check my hotmail. No Windows Live support. I have to go through interent exploder. anyone know where I can get it?

Type in windows live on the search bar....it will take you to download "Live Search" Page...I assume that this is what you are looking for...

Actually Windows Live is more than just Live Search, most people will miss having Live Messenger

When you say you're gonna roll it to the Unbranded ROM, does that mean that WM6 can also be rolled back to the factory WM5 if WM6 blows? Although, I don't know if WM5 ROM would be available anywhere for download to install...

How does installing an unbranded ROM affect an ATT contracted phone?

I'm just looking at options for my 750 with WM5 incase I don't like WM6.

You can download Windows Live from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...build+1400.CAB

Simply copy cab file to Treo and then use file explorer to install.

NOTE: Free registration required.

Jerold if you uuse the official update just released the instructions te;ll you you cant go back. Actually you can but only if you have a hacked out and saved somewhere the rom image of the windows mobile 5 equivalent of your rom stack. Not an easy thing unless you are an expert in such things. The unbranded rom according to most reports I have seen in other forums are good for the unbranded rom you wont have to deal with cingularly att's rom bloatware like att mall att music get mobi tv and get everything else in the world.

Quick update, I ripped out the Windows Live install cab from the unbranded rom for anyone who is on the ATT rom but wants LIVE.

While I am a hotmail user, I don't use Live on my Treo. Reason being that it's a work unit. So when I hear my email chime, I know that it's work related and not personal or junk mail. I can always go to hotmail.com with pocket IE to check if I'm desparate.

If I didn't have to keep up with work email, I'd use it in a second. Heck, if they would just give you a way to assign different alert tones for each email account, that would work too.

What I'd really like to see is the ability to assign client specific message rules ON THE DEVICE. Then I could specify alerts for specific accounts or senders, etc... But that would be too convenient. *sigh*
