Official AT&T Treo 750 WM6 link

I was at the AT&T corperate dealer today doing a relocation because i am moving to a different state. They told me that the following link is for the download of WM6 and will ba active no later than this coming friday night at midnight. Please take this for what it's worth.

He said that push to talk as far as he knows is in this release.

As to my post earlier, this is a conversation i hade with live tech support via a chat window.. Not sure if it confirms it or not but atleast they acknowledge the existance of an update for the TREO 750.

Just so you know, the moderators at AT&T(AKA Cingular) forums are either playing God over the WM6 thread or AT&T Corporate has instructed them to
to threaten anyone who criticizes the fact that the Treo WM6 is late with loss of permissions and or being banned from their site.

And after reading numerous posts on this issue I decided to reply to one of them

While I am not a perfect person nor an Angel, I merely replied to a post
concerning the WM6 update not being released, with a comment that said
"Just so you know the AT&T upgrade is being sold on Ebay"

A day later:

I was told sarcastically that my message had been deleted due to the fact I had posted a link when it was against the rules to do so.
And it was a good way to get myself banned.

I responded to the message with the fact, that I had not in fact posted a linkand that anyone who did a Google search, as I had done could in fact find this same information as I had done.
And I told him to tell AT&T using Acronyms mind you, that if they had a problem with that posting what to do and where to go.
And yes I can be sarcastic also

His response was using Acronyms in a PM would get you banned also.


It amazes me with people like this that AT&T can still be in business, these clowns must be left over from Cingular

cingular had good people. it is AT&T that has the issues. Sometimes i wonder why there is somuch anomosity over this release. What is so special about it to cause so much fuss.

As a new owner of a 750 (it's my second phone, which is a pre-paid Cingular account I've had forever), I'd like to get this on my phone. It came on Friday, and I was hoping it would have had WM6 already on it, but it was still at WM5.

I've seen that link in the first post of this thread sometime ago and have checked it every so often, with no update so far.

Maybe sometime before christmas we'll see the official AT&T release.

Yeah, not holding my breath... but hoping for something from the AT&T camp.... at least before WM7 devices start coming out, which could be at least a year from now, the way these things take forever to get approved, developed and such.

I know R&D takes a while on new products, but when there's a flood of other devices that already run on WM6 - including Treo 750s - then you really have to wonder why the delay is taking so long.

Well I was at a boy scout event this weekend and one of my buddies has a 750 corporate issue 750 and it came with wm6 installed and it is the same build number as the unofficially leaked rom so its not like the build number is changing on the newer 750's so theres no real reason make that excuse for delaying it any more but they still are. It time for cingularly att to shut up and "getr dun" instead of trying to stiffle the cricism about not releasing it>
