Default Official Cingular Availability

I'm a new member, so this may be old news, but I was in my local Cingular store yesterday buying a 680 for my wife and I asked about the 750. The agent showed me a memo she had received showing that they would have the 750 in stock on January 9th. We all know how those dates can flex, but at least Cingular was telling people in the stores when they expected to have it. The price on her memo was $499. The store was in Alabama if that matters.

The store rep is a friend and she showed it to me in black and white. The trick is going to be whether or not Cingular can actually come through with what they said.

I hope that the 499 is before the rebate and before a 2 year agreement.

based on previous reports I would guess that its after the 2 year contract and before the rebate. It would be nice if Cingular would do what vodafone is doing in Europe and how some of thir agents with ebay stores are doing with the 680 and Cingular 8525. With a extension 2 years (within 3 months of nd of contract or already over) 39.99 for 680 and 239.99 for the 8525. That would be a deal and a half

Well I hope it gets released in Jan of 2007. My contract is up in Febuary of 2007, so I am hoping to get maybe some deals to renew. Either way I am getting a 750 for me.

Not to be a wet blanket, and I hope I am just being skeptical and they prove me wrong, but I saw a similar black and white sheet when I got my 8525 in November stating a release date in mid-December....from the "what it's worth" department!!
