Palm 750 Freezing All The Time
Hi
This is my first post and i hope someone is able to help or advise me on my problems before i send it back for a new one.thank you in advance for your help.
I have just brought a new palm treo 750, but i am constantly having to soft reset it, i will list the problems below.
1. It does not pick up calls when i press answer button, sometimes if i press it, it is ok other times i have to enter password and it then freezes.
2. It freezes on password screen and i cant enter any information. soft reset required.
3. I am constantly getting error messages and being asked to send error reports.
4. When i enter the password from locked screen it is sometimes appears with the brightness screen which i can not close as it then freezes and i have to soft reset.
I am a little upset with this palm as my 650 was ace, but maybe i should know better than to trust Microsoft WINDOZE (sorry i am a Mac user). i would appriciate any advice or help.

A hard reset with nothing installed - does it have the same problems? If so, return it.

check and see what programs are running it sounds like you have low memory due to many active programs. Remember that hitting the x with pocket pc does not close applications just moves them to off screen so memory is not available hold down the ok button a adialog box for active programs will come up tap on the app and yiou can close that app. That will free up memory. If that does not work contact ATT and maybe they will send you a new device.

Make sure AT&T has your correct device

I was having similar problems, thought for sure my 750 was bad. Called Palm and AT&T tech support, they thought the phone was bad, too. But one tech noticed that they had my phone type listed as a 2G rather than a 3G in their system configuration for my phone number. They changed that and suddenly may carrier info switched to AT&T (Well, ATand an underlined T) and the phone, after a final hard reset began to work correctly. If you used the SIM card from your last phone in the new 750, I suggest you give Cingular tech support a call and ask them how your phone # is configured in their database.

Glad to hear that your woes went away. I am hoping soon that the area I live in will get 3g service. Dont have even UTMS here in the hinterland. I know they have it in Little Rock about 2 hours away and in Tulsa OK which is about 2 hrs NW. Maybe in Fayetteville about an hour north.

My point was that I had upgraded to the 750 from my previous phone and even though I did that through the Cingular site, they hadn't changed their settings to match my new phone and my current service. Now that it's working correctly this phone rocks, and I finally feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
