first off you need to format the mini sd card before you use or it wont store very much ie the memory message you got. As to the internet the phone has a data radio which can access the internet. I am not familar with the meteor network I am an congularly at and we have a program called media net which is used to get online. You should have an icon on the top bar of the phone with an icon that tells you is you are gprs edge or UMTS or HSDPA the last 2 being 3g if you tap that icon it should give you a dialog box and ask if you want to connect to the internet. Some regular internet sites will not allow connection to mobile phones and some sites are optimized to connect to mobile devices.

To format, right click on the drive in Windows Explorer and select format. You'll want to use FAT32.
The "E" is for Edge. Either your area does not have 3G yet or you're still on WM5. Full HSDPA won't work until you upgrade to WM6.

Toggle the write protect tab on the SD card so you can write to it.
To see your version, go to Start>Settings>System tab>About. It should say the OS right at the top of that screen.
Additionally, you can go the the "Phone" tab and look at the software version.
Mine is "TREO750-2.23-CNG". So it's a Cingular branded device running 2.23 (which is the version number for the unbranded WM6 rom).
WM5 devices are typically version 1.13.

I'm going to take a wild guess here that you have a MiniSD-to-SD adapter that you use when connecting to your computer.
The full size SD card (or adapter in this case) has a physical switch on the side of it for write protection. Make sure it's not set in the write protect position.

it formatted woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i didnt even notice that little switchy trhing!!
ok now thats cleared up i can ask the question i was getting to.. is there any way that for example if i open my music folder that it will be the music stored on the card and not the phone???or if i want to choose a ingtone i can choose from my memory card.im sorry this question is soo vague but i cant really explain it. i had an old phone and when you opened folders for pictures, videos etc it was what was stored on my memory card (you choose all media files save to card)that came up..you remove the card and open those folders there would be nothing in them.
sorry!!!!!!!!!!for nagging you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ringtones will always end up in your ringtone folder on the device.
Your music can be anywhere. Windows Media Player should hunt for the music and make it available for play.
As for pictures, you can open the camera app and go into Menu>Options and choose the default storage location.
