Default Please help! Disable sounds on Treo 750

Hi
Could someone please help me with this issue on my Treo 750?
I have used this phone for a while now, but there is one thing related to the sound function that bothers me.
How can I set up the phone to disable system sound such as reminders of incoming email, SMS, upcoming meetings etc when I am on the phone with someone or are using the media player playing MP3 files?
I have tried to figure this out under settings for sound and notification but I can not make this work properly! I either loose these sounds completely or they are always active. I only like to disable them or replace them with viration when I use earplug or are having a call.
It is quite annoying listening to music via ear plugs a phone call and suddenly getting a loud sound on my ear about an incoming call, meeting SMS etc.
At the moment I have the following 3rd party SW installed.

WebIS Pocket Informant 8
SBSH Pocket Breeze 5.4
SBSH Pocket Weather 2.0.4
SBSH PhoneWeaver 1.2
SBSH iLaucher 3.1
Lakeridge WisBar Advance 3

Regards,
Ivar T

Welcome to ET IvarT. I'm not sure that it can be setup the way you are trying to, but I will do some research later today when I have more time. Do you have wm5 or wm6 on your 750?

Just from looking at the wm6 treo 750 user guide it looks like either the sounds are off or they are on. If you on a call or listening to music you are going to be notified that you have a call or some calendar event or a to do reminder. Sorry.

By the way how do you like pocket informant 8 I got the free download of po0cket informan6t 7 a couple of weeks ago. I have'nt donloaded it yet I use Plan Plus for Outlook v 4 now which has a version of pocket informant built in and I need to upgrade to v 5 for seven or 8 to work. I am trying to decide whether to do it or not. Can you give me your thoughts on the program and how ;long you have used it? Thanks

If you're listening to music and don't want system tones barging in, flick the mute button on top of your device.

Media Player will still play through the headphones with the device muted (but not through the main loudspeaker).

OK thanks for checking up for me.
I have OK experience with PI8. There a lot of options and possibilities to customise the layout and views but I one issue and that is that sometimes when I'm browsing settings the phone freezes and I have to perform a SW restart. This was supposed to be fixed in build version 1121 of PI8 but it still happens sometimes. Quite annoying!
