POP3 account issues...

Hello, I'm new to the forum and a new 750 owner. I've been using the phone for about 3 weeks and one of the issues I have is with my POP3 accounts. First, with my Gmail, it seems to actually download messages off an on. Sometimes when I know I have mail I will send/receive and it immediately says no mail or whatever.

Now the real issue is that I wanted to delete and reinstall the account and it isn't even listed! I go to check the Gmail, click on menu, tools, options and the only account listed is my work pop3 account, no Gmail. Yet, it is getting my mail somehow.

Also, for both my gmail and work pop3 accounts when I go to delivery preferences I do not have the box checked for "Connect and check for messages" so how and when is it even checking mail?

Is this thing defective? I already think it is ridiculous that I have to charge it every night as it will be completely dead and I don't even talk that much or do much on it.

I did find the Gmail account under the Xpress mail settings. When I view the Event Viewer there is a Push Client Event "connection attempt failed" every 2.5 minutes.
