Putting WM6 unbranded over WM6 AT&T version

My 750 blew up and so AT&T sent me another one. It currently has AT&T WM6 installed on it. I tried to overwrite it with the unbranded version and I get a message saying that I do not need to update that I have the current or new version. How can I get the unbranded one installed?

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Actually I was just trying to put a generic WM5 on my 700. But, I got the same message about not being able to update because I already have the current version. Hopefully in can use the file I have along with the modified installer you directed me to.

Thank you for the cooked ROM! as i was unable to use the PC install, i did manage to get it to work via the SD card method. I took the CHEEIMG_FW and renamed it to just CHEEIMG, dropped it in the SD and did the PTT+reset, it worked perfectly and at 51megs without all the ATT crapware. I can't wait to see what you do with 6.1 and the forthcoming WM7 os keep up the good work and thank you again

I'm having a problem getting the wizard to work with my cingular branded phone. Do I need the wizard-cng.zip file I read about a while back? Any help would be great. Thanks
