Quick question regard to mac and bluetooth file transfer
newbie here with some questions. I have treo 750 with at&t and i can't seem to transfer files from my mac. Is this possible? Thanks..

what sort of files are you wanting to transfer? Do yopu the bt set up properly? Are you paired up? Do the devices recognize each other?

yes. I am trying to transfer picture files and mp3's and every time it fails to do so. The both devices are paired up where my mac is able to recognize my treo 750, yet i can't transfer anything from mac to treo + treo to mac.

check out pages 227 228 and 229 in the user guide wm6 edition. You might also try using your synch software to move the files as well.

Are you using Missing Sync with your Mac? If not you will have to download it from Mark/Space. Its the client which allows you to sync to your Mac. It will allow you to use the sync cable, bluetooth and a network connection. Once your device is paired with your Mac, Missing Sync should recognize it and sync. Also are you running Windows Mobile 5 or 6? Also what OS are you running? OSX will not recognize WM6 phone as a mountable drive. You can use the "install programs" tab in Missing Sync to transfer files that way which is what I do. The only downside is that it is unidirectional. You can only transfer to your Treo. Mark/Space is currently working on this problem. You could also use a card reader to transfer files that way if you have an expansion card. Have you tried transferring files with the sync cable? Personally I use the sync cable since it charges the phone at the same time (WM6 only). I've used Bluetooth a couple times when I forgot my sync cable. Kinda touchy though. Now keep in mind this is with WM6. If you are running WM5 just use the sync cable. OSX will mount your Treo and you can transfer files that way. PM me if you have any questions. I've been using my Mac with my Treo for about a year now.

I made an error when I wrote my last post. OSX 10.5 (leopard) will not mount your Treo to the desktop. OSX 10.4 (tiger) will mount with either WM5 or 6. Sorry for the confusion. I had just got off work when I wrote it.
