Should I replace my dying Treo650 with a 750, 680 or AT&T Tilt? Hi all! This post to see if there is anyone who can tell me more regarding my questions:
I've used my Treo650 for 4 years on AT&T (replaced it 3 times!) & liked it pretty well, but the SLOW internet speeds & "mystery" reboots have been annoying. I also have had good luck using it as a laptop modem with PDAnet. Is the 750 worth the effort of learning a new OS? Does the 750 work well as a modem with PDAnet too? Are most of the core features similar, like the calendar, etc?
What I hoped is that there might be someone out there that has tried BOTH OS's and has a feel for how steep the learning curve is. I use the calandar to remind me of all the things I have to get done each day along with appointments. The one on my 650 is dirt simple to use & update. I've never used outlook for anything- I thought it was an e-mail program...
Anyone out there have any Palm vs WM5 input for me?
I need to replace my 650 ASAP. If it was GSM, I'd get a 755p and be happy, but they're only CDMA. I WAS trying to wait for the Treo850, but now I can't.
Would I be happy with the 750? Can I get to contacts, calendar or web with just 1 button press? Does it's lower resolution screen make a horrible difference?
I saw the AT&T Tilt is liked by many on Cnet, etc and they are coming out with the Blackberry Bold next month. The Wi-Fi, GPS and better display on the Bold sounds tempting, but I'm not sure how simple migrating to such a different phone would be. I use my 650 as a phone first, and read posts from Freerange, cruise the web or listen to music. I USE the calendar a lot, stand alone. I've never even tried outlook...
All advice gratefully taken!
