Default Soft Reset

If I do a reset will that delete my contacts?

Will it delete my email accounts?

What is the difference between a hard reset and a soft reset?

A hard reset deletes data in RAM; it does not delete data in ROM or the card.

A soft reset does not delete contacts, email, et cetera - most of the time.

If a database is open and a soft reset is executed, you stand a good chance of loosing the data entered into the database prior to the soft reset and after the last time the application wrote the database to the file.

A soft reset can be manually initiated, automagically initiated or out of the clear blue sky initiated. The out of the clear blue sky initiated types are not desirable.
