Default Start menu

quick quistion...maybe... Ok so i just got the phone and im doing pretty good getting around it and what not BUT in the start tab right above the today selection i have things or programs ive gone to that i guess are still open. Ive dont the stop all but the calculator and the music and the sim manager is still open no matter what i try to do. How do I close these and will it conserve some battery power?

if you push and hold the ok button it will click and you will get the open programs dialogue box and tap on those items yopu want to close one at a timer and select close they should shut down some applications will take longet\r to close and you may the windows thing going round like a clock but they should all close. There are some 3rd pty programs that will actually allow hitting the x to really close the program.

If there are no programs shown as active then the only programs using battery are those you cant shut down except turning the phone portion of the device off which kind of defeats the purpose. If you are having problems with your batery draining quickly you need to let it completely discharge before you recharge and then completely recharge it sometimes you have to recondition the battery. If you are in a 3g area the 3g runs the battery down quicker than gsm/gprs the G in the box in the upper tool bar at the top of the screen. #g would appear as a U in the box. Also if you are in a marginal service area you be switching out of digital into analog which runs your battery down quickly also and also makes it take longer for your battery to charge. You might want to check out seidio's new oem size batteryt which has 1600 mah about 25% more power in the same size battery so you dont have to get a humpback batery cover. Just went on sale about 10 days ago. Order from seidio.cvom or they have them on ebay for a few dollars cheaper. I am still thinking about switching to this new batery.
