Synchronising stopped - Support Code 0x8503001C
Since last week my Treo 750 has stopped synchronising to my laptop (using Vista). It comes up with an error saying 'Support Code 0x8503001C'.
I have tried to reboot the PC, tried to reboot the phone, but nothing helps.
Any ideas anyone?

I googled the error code and found a thread on palms forums which hopefully will do the trick it worked on that thread. Heres the thread http://forums.palmone.com/palm/board...hread.id=39125

Lost everything
I followed the suggestion on the thread and uninstalled WMDC from the PC, downloaded it and re-installed it, removed the Partnership and tried to start all over again.
The result is now that everything that I had on the phone (Calendar and Contacts) is gone!
The phone is connected to the PC, I can see it and its folder in Windows Explorer. However, when trying to set up the new Partnetship it stays forever on the 'Saving settings to device...' message.
Please someone advise what to do, I am getting desperate.

have you been doing backups using the sprite backup included with the installation disk? If not your data on calendar and contacts should be on your computer in outlook. You can do a gard reset and then re-establish the partnership and resynch and your data should be back If you have a backup then do a hard reset and restore from the backup. All should be well then.

Hard restart
I had to do hard re-start of my Treo, which of course meant I lost all my settings. However, after that, I could syncronise again, and get the Calendar and Phone book back from Outlook.
With the backup feature mentioned, would that have helped me restore also all settings?

It should you could have picked a backup to restore for a date when you did not have the problem and in theory it should put you back to that date and then any newer data you could active sync back in . If something in the new dat was corrupted then you might get the problem back again. There are programs that can scan for errors and fix them for windows mobile I would think along the lines of the palm based dbfixit or teal scan.
