Switch back to GSM from UMTS

HI, had my 750 about 6 weeks, having a problem with the 3G by my house. When i first got the phone it would have full GSM covergae by my house, if i left and went farther into dowton i would get 3G and that was fine. When the 3G was bad, it would always sense it and switch me back to GSM. Now at my house i seem to get 1 bar of 3G and the phone sticks on that for days. I drop almost every call afetr i talk for a few seconds, i try to soft reset, turn the phone application off and on, sometimes it'll go back to GSM and i have full covergae allways.

Is there a way to tell the phone to not go to 3G? Am i stuck with this now that there is a tiny bit of 3G by my house, i cant make phone calls. Can you choose which network it attatches to, or when the signal strength is strong enough to switch?

go to the phone settings and choose services tabs. in there, choose band selection and change the network type from auto to GSM.

You know, i went through that section 100 times, never saw that part, you really saved me days of grief. The pohone works great everywhere except at my desk where there's 1 bar UMTS and it wouldnt switch to GSM even after dropping 20 calls a day.

It sounds like yopur on the extreme edge of 3g service and hopefully you'll be getting a tower upgrade soon. I dont have 3g in my local area about 2 hours away almsot to Little Rock or in Tulsa also about 2 hours away. Maybe someday! Humm
