Default Treo 750 and WiFi

Is there a way to add Wifi to the 750? If so, how is it done? Anyone tried it? What do you think of it?

I'm not sure if it's supported, but there are SDIO WiFi cards that support the 700w/wx. Not sure if that compatibility is available on the 750. With the importance of WiFi in Europe, I'd venture to say "Yes". I came across a review of the 750v at Gadgeteer, "The 750v doesn't have an SD card. Instead, it has a slot for a MiniSD card. The change from SD to MiniSD isn't a big deal, except for one issue... the ability to easily add WiFi to the 750v. MiniSD WiFi cards are coming to market, there is at least one available now: the Spectec SDW-822. But the the problem with that one is that the card sticks out of the slot, making it easy to accidentally break off the door."

I'm using the SDW-822 with an AT&T 750 upgraded to WM6. Other than the aforementioned problem with the slot door not closing, it seems to work just fine.

Thanks for the info, so the program on the TREO works for you? meaning, the WLAN program that is installed on the TREO, when you click on it, it does not tell you Can not contact Channel? if it does work, then can you please let me know where did you install the driver, because the one I got on the CD with the card, was WM5.

Thanks

The driver I used is - wlan11b_wm60.CAB and I found it here:http://www.spectec.com.tw/DOWNLOAD/m...an11b_wm60.CAB

(It's the WM6.0 driver for the SDW820/822 found on this page)

Default Wifi trouble

I just installed my driver and it linked to my router fine, however it will not connect to any web page. It comes up and says it could not find page because connection was lost or something to that effect. It shows that I am connected with full signal. What am I doing wrong?

Try running the Proxy Manager Program. If it is checked to "Force AT&T Proxy" uncheck it.
