Treo 750 first impressions... NOT good
Well, I received the phone. It looks nice and might even work well. However, the CD that AT&T sent me doesn't run. I can explore the CD, but I can't get setup.exe to run, so the CD is useless and I can't set up the phone.
Then, the real kicker. Exploration of the CD shows that there is no Outlook on it. Nice. They give me a TRIAL version of outlook 2007 -- which I really would rather not use -- that I'll have to pay for in order to use the full capabilities of the phone. They don't even bother to send a version of outlook I can use.
I'm on the phone with AT&T(got an East Indian I can barely understand, oh how useful), to see what they can do.
If they can't fix it, well, at least I'm out of their 2 year contract.

Well, here's the good news. You don't NEED anything on the CD to set up and use your device.
You can download ActiveSync (for XP) or WMDC (for Vista) directly from Microsoft for free.
Without outlook, you won't be able to sync contacts, calendar, etc... but you will still be able to move files and install software.
Hmm... Trial version, eh? That sucks. I'll double check my CD. If they provided a full version, I'll see if I can get a copy to you. I already had Outlook and didn't need it.

You are truly a good person. I did, however, find a copy of outlook. I don't use office, but I got a good deal for office 2003 from work. It's only been activated once -- although no longer even installed on any computer I own. I'll just reactivate it.
Thank you for your offer!
