Smart Phone Idiot
According to this engadget article, things aren't sounding good for a new Palm based OS! At least not anytime in the next 9 months . . . .

Looks like it will be a winner...would be nice if someone could take a pic that is not blurry...I know that they make cameras that compensate for that...

I wonder if the diffferent keyboard color layouts will stick with the production models - Dark number keys/the rest white on the palm version, White number keys/the rest black on the windows version?

It looks like one is black and the other blue. I would have guessed that perhaps the Palm based Treo was black (looking at the photos) and the blue would be wind up being Windows Mobile based. That theory goes out the window when looking at the Vodaphone image, which appears to be a black phone.
Maybe Cingular launches two phones simultaneously - Palm OS and Windows. That would make for a very cool ad campaign.

I had a Cingular 8125 with Windows on it and i didnt like it. Windows was j ust to slow on the phone. It would freeze up a lot and the phone couldnt keep up with my typing. So i kept the 8125 for about 2 weeks and got the Treo 650 and I like it much better.
THe only complaints i have with the treo 650 or palm os is the fact that you cannot access the system folders. for windows based phones you can make a mp3 ring and drop it right into the ringer folder on your phone no need to additional software. I hope the offer the Treo 750 with Palm os and Windows on it. I also hope to see the signature antena back i dont want the treo to look like the crapberry!
