treo 750 rehab
So, my little project arrived in the mail yesterday. There were a couple issues with it that I couldn't fifure out. If anyone can offer any help with this, I would really appreciate it.
Oh, and without getting in to much detail of what happened, the main issue with this 750 is that it was introduced to some gravy. That's all I can say about that.
The first thing I did was plug it in and turn it on. Turned on fine. I identified all of the sticky buttons. There weren't too many and thanks to 5 way navigational button and the touch screen, it was very easy to get around without them. But I still wanted to clean it.
I began taking out the screws only to find that one was stripped. Isn't that weird? Before this "accident" it was brand new, straight from the Cingular store. If anyone has a good technique to remove a stripped #5 torx screw, please let me know.
Then, I noticed when I had unplugged the device, it still showed the charging lightning bolt on the battery indicator. It kept saying that it was charging, yet the charge was clearly depleting. I plugged it in and let it sit overnight.
This morning, it doesn't work at all. I shot a little contact/circuit board cleaner in to the charging jack just in case that was gunked up. Didn't do anything.
That's my story. Thanks for any help.
