Treo 750 sms deletion problems

Hi
someone sent me a sms with a pic of their son, the problem is I can't delete it off my sms message window. So I save it to my sd card. But a transparent image of the file remains in the sms window. Also it registers as a message being present. For instance, when I get a message it shows 0/2 messages...after I delete new message there's still a 0/1 message...How do I delete this file off. It says a problem has occured with messagingapp.exe.

I already did a soft reset, hoping not to have to do a hard reset...Help!!!
