Treo 750v contacts
Just synced Outlook 2007 with treo 750v - in my usual dense way I have now got double all my contacts. How can I delete all the contacts on the phone?
Thanks

Welcome to ET altvic. Go to your user manual and to troubleshooting and check on dleting duplicate contacts and changing you sync options. Or go to pal.com and check out the same issues.

I don't think this is a suitable answer for this forum. We post here looking for answers to our questions that we post, not to get "look here for your answer" answers.
After reading several of the topics in this forum I feel like beating my head against the wall a few more times. It doesn't seem like anyone wants to answer questions and most of the replies to original posts are "I have this problem too." Well GREAT! How fortunate that we have so many people with the same problem! How about if we get some answers (from the moderators maybe??)
Thank you for your time.

as this the first time you synched did you have a previous treo device was it the first time you synched to vista there are many variables to try to come up with the right answer.

I do a lot of reading here, and some posting, and have seen the "multiple entry" problem happen a few times, ONE cause is the phone having the number in the SIM phonebook as well as the software phonebook, and the applications setup to show both contact lists. Another cause of this is Synchronizing with Outlook AND the Outlook archive files. The first is easy to fix, you simply uncheck "show sim phonebook" (this would be for GSM phones, CDMA phones dont use sim cards. Another cause would be Sync'ing to OUTLOOK 2007 and another version of Outlook (outlook express) from the same computer. Getting rid of Duplicate entries may be as easy as "view duplicate entries" and "delete", but please read your manual as I could easily be wrong.

I've got the same problem and hope you found a solution. The guess-for-an-answer approach in most forums wastes time (much like signing up here)

if the contacts are not duplicated in outlook, then you could always do a hard reset and re-sync to grab a fresh copy.
