Treo 750v - gateway/bridged network – Laptop <-> Treo

Hi all,

got a new treo 750v and most of the things work fine for me, except using the smartphone as an Internet gateway. What i try to do, is connecting the smartphone with my laptop via usb and use the smartphone connection (GPRS/UMTS) to surf with the laptop thru the net. So just a simple gateway/bridged network - i try not to use the handheld as a modem, just using the connection from the smartphone.

Unfortunately i have no clue how this should work - the manual only explain a modem connection and if i understood it correctly, its not the kind of connection im looking for.

Windows Mobile 5
Windows XP
Connection USB oder Bluethoot

So, it would be great if someone could help me!?

it's called Dial-Up-Networking.... in other words, you are gonna use your phone as a modem...you need to be connected to the GPRS/UMTS to surf the internet with your laptop....
