Upgrade to 750
Just went to the cingular store and they are prepared to upgrade my 650 to 750 ( something about my monthly bill is more than 75 bucks, so my upgrade time is 12 months instead of 24 months).
Anyhoo, I wanted to know if its worth shelling 300 bucks over. ( in addition to the $100 mail in rebate, I get an additional 100 bucks because of where I work.
Looks like everything says I should upgrade, I just don't want to upgrade and find out in three months that there is something newer and better and faster..even though with such thinking I have no business owning a phone.
Any thoughts?

The Treo 750 is indeed an upgrade over the Treo 650. You should keep in mind that by making the switch, you'll be moving from the Palm operating system to Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile is easy enough to use, but overall I've found it to require more menu navigation to access features versus the Palm OS. In the Treo 750, you get a smaller, slightly slimmer Treo with an internal antenna. I find the build quality of the Treo 750 to be superb and the keyboard is the best yet from Palm. I was disappointed by the speed of UTMS, but I hear Cingular/Palm will be offering HSDPA support via a firmware upgrade. If you are currently with Cingular, you are using EDGE to connect to the internet, so the Treo 750 will offer more speed than your current EDGE connection.
I've done an extensive review of the Treo 750 that might be helpful. If you have third party Palm applications, you will not be able to use them on the Treo 750.
If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help you with your decision. In terms of new Treos, I haven't heard anything. Smartphones are not unlike computers, there is always something coming out that is faster, offers more memory, features, etc.
BTW, if you are a Mac user, you'll need to add $40 to your cost for Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. The Treo 750 does not support Macs out of the box.
Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Chris,
I read your review and it was very informative. I think I made up my mind. I am going to go ahead and get it. I might as well since I can't get a better deal anywhere else. Basically I will be paying 399-100-100= 199 for the 750 which is cheaper than anything out there on the net.
I will let you know how I make out when I get it( mayb a week from now).
Again, good job with the review.

You'd be hardpressed to find the Treo 750 at $199. I think you'll enjoy it. It's very well built and a great looking Treo.
Good luck!

I think the cheapest I have sen on the ebay cingulaR store offerings is 299.95 after rebates. If I could get the 750 at that price I would jump on it like stink on****.
