| Absolutely...I've done it successfully and other than the fact that I cannot initiate a call from my BT headset, it works great.

| Thanks a lot for your reply. Could you please point me to the upgrade location? I cannot locate it on the Microsoft site. Also, do you have to purchase the upgrade? Are upgrade instuctions provided?
Thanks again,
Howard |

| Upgrading is a piece o' cake. Yes, you have to buy the upgrade, but (in my humble opinion) it is an investment that is well worth it, especially if you use it beyond the basics. I bought mine from Handango ( www.handango.com) and the instructions come with it - I think you can even download and install a trial.

| There is an alternative to Voice Command that I have found out about recently. If you mainly use the voice dialing features and not much else, then it would work, plus it costs a little less than Voice Command. It's called VoiceDialIt. I think that it might take up less space, but it seems to work a bit better. Also, it has a counterpart named VoiceSecureIt that is a biometric encryption program. |

| I would love to hear from anyone who has tried or used both Voice Commander & Voice Dial It, and hear your comments.
Thanks a lot,

| I haven't had a chance to try VoiceDialIt yet. I hope to soon. My computer and Treo are almost ready to work together and then I will be able to try it. I will reply back then. I only wish the company would have a bundled sale or something on them. Then I may really be interested. I will let you know when I can. |

| I've used both and (while I hate to admit it) I prefer the Microsoft app WAY over VoiceDialIt. Voice Command seems to be better integrated to the OS and I've had so many failures (with a BT headset, wired headset, speakerphone, in noisy environments, quiet environments, etc.) when using VoiceDialIt that I gave up after actually making the investment in the software (rather than using the trial version long enough to get a good read). In addition, my experience with the VoiceDialIt support folks was less than stellar....
I really don't like to be so negative, but my experience was very frustrating with VoiceDialIt. Just one person's opinion!!

| Well, my experience was just the opposite. I found their support to be one of the best. Within 10 minutes my queries were answered and they were very helpful.
IMHO, VoiceIt should be bundled with the Treo 750, instead of Voice Commander. It really assists with dialing, but you MUST remember to wait one full second after the beep before talking. As soon as I understood that, it worked great.

| I'm glad you're having better luck than I did. I, too, had to learn to wait a full second before speaking but I still was not impressed. Maybe it's my voice, I dunno...
