Make sure that your voice command is turned off in settings. I assume you are using a 750 with WM5. There is a glitch in WM5 that mutes all sound when voice command is turned on.

That wouldn't be the issue. The sound bug affects ringtones and sound playback, not active phone conversations. It's due to too many things accessing the sound driver and is easily fixed with the audio patch.

From what the poster has stated so far, they can hear him, but he can't hear them UNLESS he uses speakerphone or a headset.

So if the headset output works and the loudspeaker works, it sounds like a hardware issue with the speaker at your phone's earpeice.

Make sure that you're voice command is turned off in settings. If you have WM5 there is a glitch when voice command is on that it mutes everything.

Again, that glitch only results in a loss of audio ALERTS (ringtones/alarms/calendar reminders), not voice calls.

Even so, if you're running WM5 you should patch that bug. You can read more about it and get the fix here:

I still think you've got a hardware issue in your earpeice. If it's a new unit, I'd see about getting it swapped.

Before I updated my phone, when the voice command was activated, I could not hear people talk on incoming calls, and they could not hear me talk. It also effected ringtones, and any other audio tones.

Wow. Thanks for clarifying that. I hadn't heard of it affecting voice calls before, and Palm sure didn't come out and say it. Good to know.

If you're on WM5, LOAD THE PATCH. Or upgrade to WM6.
