Default Using Bluetooth to Active Sync

I am having problems setting up my 750 to Active Sync via Bluetooth. I had no problems with my 3125, but I can't seem to get the 750 to connect. I have installed the ActiveSync and the additional Bluetooth software that came on the start up disk, yet nothing I try has worked. I get the same message everytime... "Cannot find an existing Bluetooth Partnership with a PC that supports ActiveSynce. Would you like to set up a partnership now?"

I say yes and it take sme to the port portion of the 750. I have set up new ports, yet nothing.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

I encounter the same problem and cannot fix it so far. Can anyone tell us the activesyn procedure in setting up the connection via bluetooth? You know it is very uncomfortable to unplug the USB cable after syn. I afraid it will hurt the electric contact place when I hardly pull the cable out from the bottom of Treo everytime.

I find that although the usb connection is tight that it comes out easily most of the time. I would suggest that if you had a 650 or newer treo that you try using the 650 usb connector. It works to sync and charge and has given me no problems with disconnection

have you read and followed the instructions on page 70 in the user guide and still had problems? Did you uninstall the bluetooth software drivers etc from the desktop for the 3125? If not that may be your problem because its probably a slightly different driver for a non touch screen wm5 smartphone 3125 and for the touch screen with the 750

I uninstalled all old software from when i used the 3125, and then re-started the computer before I put on the new software that came with the 750.

from the user guide which should have been installed on your desktop as a shortcut to the pdf right click the active sync icon on your computer and select connection settings check allow connections for one of the following and then select bluetooth on the 750 press start and settings then select bluetooth check the turn on bluetooth box then press start and then nselect programs then select active sync presss menu (right action key) and select connect via bluetooth if this is the first time to make a bluetooth connection to this computer follow the onscreen prompts to set up a partnership with the computer ( see connecting to devices with bluetooth wireless technology for more information on partnerships) select sync when synchronization is finished press menu and select disconnect bluetooth.

mdgolf maybe the software did not uninstall properly as to the 3125 or install properly for the 750. I dont know I had problems with AS back in the days of the Casio E-200 and Journada 567.
